Welcome to Bear Brook Guide Service. By accessing or using this website and our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1. Services Provided

Bear Brook Guide Service offers guided fishing trips and outdoor experiences in the state of Maine. All trips are subject to availability, weather conditions, and applicable state regulations.

2. Bookings and Payments

  • All trips must be reserved in advance.
     

  • A deposit may be required to secure your booking.
     

  • Full payment is due by the date of the trip unless otherwise agreed.
     

  • Prices are subject to change without notice.
     

3. Cancellation Policy

50% deposit is required to reserve your trip. Deposit is non-refundable, however we understand that emergencies happen and we may be able to work with you to reschedule if possible. If you must cancel your trip due to unforeseen circumstances please call or email us at least 48 hours in advance to cancel. Although we do fish in the rain and cold, for safety reasons if at any time your Guide makes the determination that wind/weather conditions are not safe to go out, or while out on the water your Guide determines that weather has become unsafe and must end the trip early, we will try to reschedule your trip, and will work with you in every way we can to accommodate you.

4. Assumption of Risk

Fishing and outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Slips, falls, or injuries
     

  • Water-related hazards
     

  • Weather conditions
     

  • Equipment-related risks
     

By booking a trip, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

5. Liability Waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bear Brook Guide Service is not liable for:

  • Personal injury
     

  • Loss or damage to personal property
     

  • Delays or cancellations beyond our control
     

Clients may be required to sign a separate liability waiver prior to the trip.

6. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Follow all safety instructions provided by the guide
     

  • Comply with Maine fishing laws and licensing requirements
     

  • Treat equipment and property with care
     

  • Behave respectfully and responsibly during the trip
     

Bear Brook Guide Service reserves the right to end a trip without refund if unsafe or inappropriate behavior occurs.

7. Fishing Licenses

Clients are responsible for obtaining any required Maine fishing licenses unless otherwise stated. Failure to do so may result in cancellation without refund.

8. Equipment

Unless otherwise specified:

  • Basic fishing gear may be provided
     

  • Clients are responsible for personal items
     

  • Any damaged or lost equipment may be charged to the client
     

9. Weather Policy

Fishing trips operate in most weather conditions; however, trips may be delayed, rescheduled, or canceled if conditions are deemed unsafe at our discretion.

10. Website Use

By using our website, you agree not to:

  • Use it for unlawful purposes
     

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
     

  • Copy or reproduce content without permission
     

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including text, images, and logos—is the property of Bear Brook Guide Service and may not be used without permission.

12. Privacy

Your use of our website is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
